Family tree Pot-Pourri – Week Ending 4 September 2023 Receive US

 Listed below are the highlights of my household historical past and family tree associated actions over the previous week.  

1)  Attended the Chula Vista Genealogical Society (CVGS) basic assembly on Wednesday on Zoom with Jean Wilcox Hibben because the speaker on “Induction Vs. Deduction.”

2)  Attended the San Diego Genealogical Society DNA SIG assembly on Saturday on Zoom with Kathy Fernandes presenting on “Shared Matching Methodology.”

3)  Wrote a genealogical sketch for  seventh great-grandfather #944 William Cutter (1650-1723) of Cambridge, Massachusetts for the 52 Ancestors collection on Friday.  I’ve written 495 of those sketches for my ancestors.

4)  Transcribed the one web page 1860 Listing of Heirs for Horace Seaver (1792-1858) of New York Metropolis for the Amanuensis Monday collection.  I’ve transcribed about 700 data on this collection.

5)  Explored  The New Member Tree Fan Chart: 

6)  AncestryDNA now has 43,921 DNA matches (up 37 from 27 August) for me right now, with 54 new ThruLines.   I added  Notes to 19 matches, and the DNA Match line for two of the brand new ThruLines to RootsMagic.  MyHeritageDNA now has 11,669 DNA matches (up 15 from 27 August) for me, with no new Theories.  Reviewed the brand new DNA matches on AncestryDNA, MyHeritageDNA, FamilyTreeDNA and 23andMe.  

7)  Often matched RootsMagic 9 profiles to FamilySearch Household Tree.  I’ve matched 49,847 of my RootsMagic individuals with FamilySearch Household Tree profiles (up 14).  

8) Used Net Hints and Report Matches from Ancestry, MyHeritage, Findmypast and FamilySearch so as to add content material and supply citations to my RootsMagic profiles. I now have 71,424 individuals in my RootsMagic household tree (up 24), and 146,178  supply citations (up 3).  Resolved 260 Ancestry Hints. TreeShared 101 new and up to date profiles with Ancestry.  My Ancestry Member Tree has Ancestry Report Hints with 178,542 to be resolved, however I work on them a number of instances per week.  

9) Wrote 17 Genea-Musings weblog posts final week (Sunday via Saturday), of which three had been a press launch. Essentially the most seen publish final week was Visitor Publish: What Occurred at AncestryDNA This Week? with over 206 views.  Genea-Musings had about 92,400 web page views final week.  

10)  Actual life:  That is week 182 since COVID restrictions began.   I stayed dwelling aside from visiting Linda each day on the expert nursing/reminiscence care facility. Walked each day on the block and talked to a number of neighbors.   Went to the heart specialist on Tuesday for the lab checks and pre-op data.  Went to the church Males’s Bible Examine on Saturday morning.  Attended the fiftieth anniversary occasion for the Lindseys at church on Sunday.  Completed studying Faye Kellerman’s The Misplaced Boys and am studying The Decide’s Listing by John GrishamThe SDSU Aztecs received their second soccer recreation towards Idaho State however I did not watch it.  The Padres season continued, and I watched the entire video games this previous week.  They’re 65-73 to date (4-3 this previous week) and nonetheless in fourth place within the NL West division.
