Antony has returned to the UK and can meet Better Manchester Police (GMP) as a part of their investigation into accusations of abusive behaviour made in opposition to the Manchester United winger, a supply has advised ESPN.
Antony flew again to Manchester from Sao Paulo on Tuesday. The 23-year-old has been in Brazil since reporting for nationwide crew obligation following United’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Sept. 3, though he was later withdrawn from the squad by the Brazil Soccer Confederation (CBF).
Antony and United introduced on Sept. 10 that they had agreed a depart of absence to permit the winger to “deal with the allegations” made in opposition to him by three girls, together with former companion Gabriela Cavallin.
Antony has not performed for United because the recreation on the Emirates, and there’s no timetable for his return to the squad.
A supply has advised ESPN he’s keen at hand over his telephone to GMP in a bid to show his innocence. United say they’re taking the allegations significantly.
Cavallin will meet with GMP subsequent week, a supply advised ESPN.
Investigations are ongoing in Brazil and in Manchester. Police in Brazil raised no objection to the previous Ajax ahead travelling to the UK.
Antony has not been charged with an offence and has strenuously denied the claims.
In a press release beforehand posted on social media, Antony stated: “I can calmly state that the accusations are false and that the proof already produced and the opposite proof that might be produced show that I’m harmless of the accusations made.”
