Vice-Admiral Robert FitzRoy RN was an English officer of the Royal Navy and a scientist. He achieved lasting fame because the captain of HMS Beagle throughout Charles Darwin’s well-known voyage, FitzRoy’s second expedition to Tierra del Fuego and the Southern Cone.
FitzRoy was a pioneering meteorologist who made correct every day climate predictions, which he known as by a brand new identify of his personal invention: “forecasts”. FitzRoy funded most of his analysis and was not capable of safe reimbursement from the federal government.
